Quest Diagnostics, the world’s leading provider of diagnostic testing, information and services, today introduced Gazelle, a secure mobile health application that allows users to receive their Quest Diagnostics lab results and manage their personal health information directly from their Blackberry, Apple iPhone and soon, Google Android, smartphones.
With Gazelle, users can see, store and share their vital health information with ease and security while on the go. Patients can request and receive their Quest Diagnostics laboratory results directly to their smartphone using Gazelle in 33 states and the District of Columbia.
Gazelle allows a patient to easily share up-to-date medical information. Lab test results can be conveniently e-mailed or faxed directly from a smartphone to physicians or other caregivers.
In the event of an emergency, first responders can gain immediate access to critical healthcare information.
Gazelle integrates easily with the Quest Diagnostics Care360 platform, which already connects 160,000 physicians, and allows doctors to send Quest Diagnostics laboratory results directly to Gazelle.
In the coming months, Quest Diagnostics plans to add features, including integration with personal health and wellness devices, compatibility with other leading health applications, treatment programs for specific disease states and medical reminders.
In addition, Quest Diagnostics has announced national availability of its Mobile Appointment Scheduling application, which allows patients to schedule appointments at any Quest Diagnostics patient service center directly from their Blackberry or Apple iPhone.
